Fantasy

When I think I was about 15 or 16, I had this on and off thing with this girl named Lyndsey. To this day she is the hottest girl I have ever met. Like there is no comparison. She is my Charlie from High Fidelity. I put her on a pedestal after she dumped me or I dumped her.

There was one day where she asked me to come back to her house.
She told me her parents weren't home.
She wanted to make out and have sex.

I was sheltered and nervous. We were less than 3 blocks from her house and I chickened out.

I walked home.

I often think about what it would have been like if we had sex and think of it as a life changing experience.

We lost touch. The last thing she said to me is a promise that we'll hang out soon and the last thing I said to her was that I'll give her back the stuffed animal she gave me.

I wonder if she thinks about me.
I don't think she does.

I wanna make a film that starts with a character like me who chickens out and leaves this girl. He walks home and writes what he thinks would have happened. His narration is over the entire film.

But in the end this is just a fantasy.
He's at his computer looking at pictures of her and as he closes his laptop he turns away.

Maybe I should make this about a girl.

I kind of already did the "this is my story" kind of thing. I think it's time I did a story about a girl.

I'll get Mariah in on this.
Maybe.
OOH! LISA would be great at this.

I'm thinking backlit silhouette scene. She's in her 20's. At the beach, with all of her friends at the time, in front of a blazing bonfire, some people are letting off fireworks.

She sees another her at the beach with this guy.

It's a happy fantasy, at the end we cut to behind her while she is staring off into the distance and then her focus is brought back to the fire.

I like it. The idea that is. It's far too relate-able for a lot of us.

I'd be interested in trying something with you perhaps. You've got a good film brain, I think I have a good story brain. Lemme know what you think?
