Killer Amungst Us

An troubled man who seduces women and kills them later.

Pretty much taken from "Night of the Hunter" but still I do think that's a really good suspense idea.

So how about a really sick brother knows that he's doing this so he tries to warn his sister but he's done this before so it's kinda like a boy who cried wolf. Anyway, she meets this man after her brother drove away the last one and now he's actually killed her.

They are CLOSE TO SOMEONE!

Okay, so, long time ago the brother, before he was sick was really important. He must have something of value. Something like money but not like it because he lives with his sister. Uh. Maybe a really nice necklace or something.

So, the killer is a lot older than the brothers sister which is what first drives him to suspicion. It turns out that he knew their mother as a child and their was a really fancy necklace that she had that drove him...um...

Short idea

Time how now become a monster and is swallowing people whole. When they get eaten everyone gets put in a different period in time.

In order to solve these...strange cases, scientists give up their new robot to the police. He can travel through time. He's got, like, weaponry and junk too.

So I thought about my animation project and the kinda stuff I would like to do.

1. I.S. (Miss Misery or Everest)

Brendan: Hey there, pretty girlfriend!
I.S.: Hi.
Brendan:...
(pause)
Brendan: What's going o-
I.S.:I wanna break up.
(pause)
I.S.: I've never really liked relationships anyway.
Brendan: But, we've been dating for 7 months. Why didn't you tell me sooner?
I.S.: I dunno.
(Pause)
I.S. I'm leaving. Goodbye.
(pause)
Brendan: Bye.

Brendan's heart falls out onto the floor. Realizing that his heart is now out of his body he puts it back and and continue to look the same when she left.

2. D.E.D.

Brendan: So you wanted to talk to me?
DED: Yeah.
Brendan: What about?
DED: We've been fighting a lot.
Brendan: Yeah. That's kinda true.
DED: So I think we should see other people.
Brendan: Even though we've been fighting I did tell you that I love you.
(brief pause)
Brendan: And you said you loved me too.
DED: I did.
(brief pause)
DED: I don't want to see you again.
(shock)
DED: I'll talk to you if I have to, but I don't think we should see each other at all.
DED: Ever again.
(DED Leaves. There is a small pause and the heart falls slower than it did the last time. Brendan picks it up and his enthusiasm has dropped quite a bit since the last time.)

3. LN
Brendan comes out on stage to see LN with another man hugging and kissing. LN notices him and she stopps the boy and tells him to leave.
Brendan: What was that?
LN: You must've seen this coming.
Brendan: I didn't.
LN: Well, now is a good as time then to tell you...
Brendan: What?
LN: I honestly, just find you really disgusting.
(LN leaves. By now it is the hearts cue to come out of the body and it comes out slower than ever and Brendan doesn't pick it up right away. Instead the heart has to get up and with every squeaky step he walks over to Brendan and tug at his pant leg for him to notice. Brendan looks down, sees the heart and just kinda looks at it.)

4. E.M.
Brendan and EM are having a really good time. They are at a party and talking like they're getting alog really well.
Brendan: I have to go to my car.
EM: Oh, I'll come with.
EM and Brendan are now at his car. He kisses her on the cheek)
Brendan: Goodnight
EM: Wait.
Brendan: What?
EM: We aren't gonna see a lot of each other in this month.
Brendan: Yeah, cause you're going to Japan.
EM: And after that I'm going to Hawaii.
Brendan: What? You never told me that.
EM: So, this is the last night I will see you before we go to college.
Brendan: Really?
EM: Yeah.
Brendan: Why didn't you tell me? I could've made tonight special.
EM: I'm sorry.
(Pause)
EM: I'm gonna go. I'm sorry.
EM kinda scampers off like she's about to cry. Again, right on cue, Brendan's heart comes out just like it should, but this time when the heart falls to the floor so does Brendan. The heart gets up and speaks)
Heart: Come on. Let's keep going.

From what I've noticed...

Every Sci-Fi show/movie that I've seen is also influenced by another genre.

Star Trek -Westerns
Cowboy Bebop - Film Noirs
Firefly -Westerns
Star Wars - Kurisawa samurai movies/ the Samurai genre

except for 2001: Space Odyssey, that's just artsy and on it's own. Something that I love because no matter who you are you will take something away from that movie. I'm not saying that every part of that movie is amazing but because of the different plots there is a story for everyone. The most popular one is with Hal 9000, which is genius. Such a cool story. Anyway.

So, if I was to make a sci-fi movie, I think it would have to be meshed with another genre and I am thinking Middle Ages.
Everything is just starting out, planets are just starting to be colonized but all of the communication has been destroyed between the new colonies and now it's a lord of the flies situation. Or maybe there was a crash, or maybe settlers starting a new colony. I'm just saying I think this idea could grow into something with a touch of brilliance.

After re-watching a couple 2001 clips and some Firefly episodes I really think that space is a place full of creativity cause we don't know whats our there.

Style choices

As I have been reading and learning more and more about the history of film, I've come to a couple conclusions.

1. All directors have a style.
2. All directors have a type of story that they tell and by this I don't mean that they tell the story in a certain genre over and over again, I mean that the meaning in each movie is the same, they just expand on it constantly and in new settings.

My answer to both of those points.
1. I think I'm gonna mess with back and white and color. Not like Frank Miller who does it for style but I love the representation of b/w and color. When things are clear cut and theirs evil vs. good, black and white, but when things are supposed to go a little deeper then use color.
I also wanna do something creative camera angles. The camera is the window into the audiences soul. Finally, when I work with film I think that I'll dim the brightness of everything. But, I guess this is depending. I've always believed that I'm actually a nice person (even though I might not be) but I like to think good of mankind. So I guess high film exposure would be a good idea.

I guess I don't have everything thought out like I thought I did. But who does.

2. the types of films I want to make will mostly deal with people falling from grace. This seems t drag audiences to the theater. However, I will avoid the gangster film genre at all cost, because, it is played out, and most of the time their stories are just about falling from grace. I also think that my first film will be "Try and Catch the Devil" followed by "The Way Some People Die"

I also wanna make a surrealist film entitled, "Mental Damage."

Seriously, it is infuriating.
Do people even want a good product anymore? It seems like they just want the same old dribble handed to them with a spoon.

All of them.
Mostly (with exception of Gnarls Barkley's "Run," Kanye West's "The Good Life," Death Cab for Cuties, "I Will Possess Your Heart," Weezer's "Pork and Beans," and Coldplay's "Violet Hill").

All of the rock music videos are just the bands looking edgy.
All of the dancing music videos don't do any unique movies or have a unique look about them in any way.
The Hip-Hop videos are just the rappers faking emotion while they dance.
And then there is Britney.
Who has some how.
Surpassed quality all together and given us this video "Pieces of Me." It won music video of the year.

It's horrible.
It's her kind of dancing and then her on Tabloid Covers.
That is a sliver of unique thought in between the most cliche music video ever made.

I wish I was a little boy, wearing a paper pirate hat in a creek filled wooden ship sailing the seas. All my friends would be shipmates and I would be pirate king. Except it wouldn't be the normal kind of Elizabethan kind of pirates who worked for the queen and destroyed Spanish ships. We, would be from the future. It would be like steam punk/pirate adventurers. We would all have cyber-engineered body parts so we could be better than the average sailor. I think a cyber-engineered eye would rock and I would make in the shape of an eye patch.
I'm trying to think of other body parts.
The comic relief one I keep thinking of is a arm with a claw attached at the end that keeps falling off.
Pistol hand is a cool one.
a robo-animal I think would be fun to see.
Robo-parrot, dog, cat all would be badass.
Um...maybe the ship would be alive.
Maybe. I kidnapped a princess from a far away land and made her heart in charge of the ship. Her heart keeps everything going and her soul changes the color pallet of the ship.
I wanna give her a mood crown as well.
Like, a crown that changes color depending on her mood. Cause that sounds cool.

And we pillage and plunder different towns taking the women and throwing them off the ship later.

A young boy with an tongue wet for adventure comes a long and finds and --in time-- falls in love with the princess. He takes her out of this cooling chamber and takes her away.
